Inspiration To Preach The Gospel

I first saw this post on Mars hill Churches Resurgence blog. And the author Mike Anderson uses the top Podcasts as an encouragement to share the Gospel by saying,
"This is the list of top ranking "Religion and Spirituality" Podcasts on iTunes right now. This is the 'Spirituality' America is consuming the most... To all the pastors and Christians out there. Please, please, please tell people about Jesus. Tell them that they are sinners in need of a savior. Tell them that he is a good and forgiving God. Warn them about Hell, and paint a beautiful image of what Heaven will be like. Inspire them to Love Jesus."

Well I agree with Mr. Anderson and want to add a little fuel to this fire with the following top lists.

The Barnes and Noble Top 100 Best sellers of 2008
  1. Eckhart Tolle - A new Earth
  2. Randy Pausch - The Last Lectures
Top T.V. Ratings (Current)
  1. America's Got Tallent  13 million Viewers
  2. Two and a Half Men  9 million Viewers
Billboard Hot 100
  1. Katey Perry - I Kissed A Girl  (That's right the number one song on the Billboard chart is by a girl about kissing a girl!) READ THE LYRICS FOR THIS SONG HERE!!!! The video (R-rated) on youtube has had 4,442,982 views to date! (Discretion advised)
  2. Rhianna - Take a Bow
  3. Chris Brown - Forever
  4. Lil Wayne - Lollipop (These lyrics are to vulgar to link, but if you want to know what people are listening to search yourself)
If you find some stuff of interest add it to the comment section of this post.

Paul Washer: It Will take Your Life All Of It

This Paul Washer quote was posted on the Puritan Fellowship Blog. Thank you Kev Williams for writing this great quote out.

“How could we have such a low view of the gospel of Jesus Christ that we have to manipulate men psychologically to get them to come down and pray a prayer? . . . How many times have I heard evangelists say, “It’ll only take five minutes.“? No my dear friend, it will take your life–all of it! “We’re just trying to attract people and then we’ll gradually bring them in further and further.” That is what the cults do, that’s not what Jesus did. Notice that in the gospels every time a great crowd is following Jesus, he turns around and says something so radical to them that most of them walk away. Of course Jesus probably would not get invited to teach evangelism [in most churches today].”

Flame: Joyful Noise Video

This is the video for "Joyful Noise" (its a shame he spelled "noiz" wrong) a song from Holy Hip Hop artist Flame's BILLBOARD CHART topping album, "Our World Redeemed."  This is one of my favorite tracks, from one of my favorite artists. This guy is on point when it comes to the theology and doctrine in his songs. He's also a very talented and humble cat. I had the pleasure meeting him and he was very kind to chat with me and sign an autograph for my 4 yr old son who is one of his biggest or smallest fans!

Todd Bentley's evangelism school

If any one has been following the craziness going on down in Lakeland, FL. You know that Todd Bentley and his revival is the most horrific thing to happen in "christianity." It has caused people to fall under false teaching and the rest of the world laugh at true Christianity!

Well, did you know that Todd Bentley has an evangelism training class? This class trains people up in what is called "Prophetic Evangelism." what the evangelists do is walk the streets and "Guess" peoples problems and heal people from sickness, addiction, ect. Todd Bentley claims that over 10,600 Prophetic evangelists have been trained up and our now running loose on the streets of Lakeland, FL! Right in my back yard!!!

Do you know the amount of people that are going to hear this false gospel from these avangelsts! Thousands!! This should encourage you to go out and share your faith with people before they hear this garbage from these crazy people.

Here is a link to a video that describes the events of a "Prophetic Evangelism" encounter. Check out more encouters like this on youtube here. Then check out what biblical evangelism looks and sounds like here

Tim Conway: Hell Is Necessary

Your wondering why I would post a sermon about Hell? Well I think it essential as a Christian to understand the doctrine of Hell. It will cause you to have joy in your salvation knowing that God saved you from that and that God will justly punish all evildoers. like, Adolf Hitler, the child molesters, the rapists, murders, liars, blasphemers, adulterers, and all those who do not trust in Christ for the forgiveness of their sins.

As an unbeliever it is necessary to understand what you will face with out Christ!!!! Some would object and say, "Your using fear to try to convert me!" to which I say, your right!! Hell is a true place and if it happens to cause you fear then you need to understand that God gave us fear in order to protect us. Like when you tell your child, "don't stick that screwdriver in the electric outlet you will get shocked!" or "don't go into the road you might get hit by a car!" We use fear to convey truth all the time!

Todd Bentley's Pastors Craziness

As you may have noticed I have slowed down on posting Todd Bentley videos latlety. The reason is that I would rather post Biblical stuff that can teach people correctly, then waste any more time trying to expose the fraudulent "Preacher."  So far we have seen videos of  Todd, kicking a man in the stomachpeople convulsing on stage, and his violent ministry. I mean how many crazy videos does one need to see to determine that this is a false teacher?

Well if the last few video clips didn't convince you I think your self deceived and need to repent! But maybe this new video will help you to see the truth  behind the Todd Bentley ministry (if there is any). The Clip below contains the Lakeland revival campus pastor admitting to lying! I can think of a few verses to post in response but I really think only one hits the nail in the head, "Thou Shall Not Lie!"

Witnessing For Jehovah Part 2

 Read part one here

After I got down from the back of the truck I drove about 3 miles and ended up in a parking lot not even remembering how I got there. My nerves were shot! It took me another 5 minutes or so of sitting in the parking lot to straighten out all my thoughts!

While there I prayed and thanked God for giving me the boldness to do such a thing as to stand up and preach at a Jehovah's witness conference. Alone! I also called Braz and Shawn and told them what I had done. They were so stoked they wanted to come out there with me and witness to them also.

I left the parking lot and finally met up with Shawn at his work and tried to come up with a game plan. I read the conference schedule I was given and saw that it was going to be done around 5:00. Braz, Shawn, and I, decided to go back up there and tract as many cars as we could without getting kicked off the grounds because I knew that I was going to preach again.

After tracting a 100 plus  cars (That's all the tracts we had) with the Who Is Jesus tract , then waiting in the parking lot, they finally started pouring out in droves. We hopped into the truck and drove across from the parking lot onto public property. I climbed again on to the back and with my  knees weak I began again to proclaim the true Gospel.

This time I didn't preach for just 1 minute. I proclaimed and proclaimed for around 40 min (audio below)! It was the most amazing (and crazy) thing Ive ever done! People were staring in amazement at this crazy guy raising his voice to proclaim the true Jesus. There were many who stood around their cars and listened to what I had to say.

Finally the parking lot was close to empty and my voice was hoarse so it was time to leave. I dropped Shawn off at his Truck, which was still in the parking lot of the convention center, and on his way out he had small confrontation with some JW Elders. They stopped him and yelled at him for trespassing. Shawn responded with "I love you  man, why are you yelling at me?"

Powered by
I was not prepared in anyway to stand up and preach in front of a few hundred Jehovah Witness's but I pray that God uses what little I was able to give. I had no outline prepared, I was only able to study a few issues while sitting in the parking lot.

If you had an opertunity to preach to an audence of Jehova Witness's what would you say? How would you segway into the Gospel? Please post a comment.

Witnessing For Jehovah

This Saturday was a day like I would have never expected. It started off pretty normal, I woke up at 6:30 AM, did my devotions, and headed off to our Mens Ministry Group. We had a great meeting which actually went longer then normal due to all the wonderful discussions that were taking place.

After Mens group I headed out to find something to do. My first Idea was to go to the local park and pass out tracts. But it was still to early and I figured not many people would be out there yet. So I decided to call Shawn to see if I could come to his work and eat lunch (or brunch) with him.

While on my way to meet up with Shawn I pass by Heritage Park Convetion Center, which is our little towns biggest convention facility, and saw a sign that read, "Welcome Jehovah's Witnesses." So I swung (or swang as we say it) my truck back around to scope the scene. I pulled in, parked my truck, sat for a minute, and thought to myself, "o.k., now what?"

I decided this is an opportunity that I couldn't pass up. So I got out of my truck and walked (a long ways) to the front doors hoping someone would try to witness to me. I was also hoping to go inside, but was afraid they wouldn't let me in because I was way under dressed. All the JW men were wearing suits, ties and carrying a briefcase of some sort. I was dressed in a t-shirt, baggy jean shorts, tennis shoes, sunglasses, a side ways hat, and my evang-a-bag. I must have stood out like a sore thumb.

Once in, I walked straight up to the "Information Desk" and asked for directions. I really wanted to see how many people were gathered in the auditorium. I also wanted to listen to the sermon for a minute just to get a feel for what they were all about. There must have been 2,000+ people there listening to a man preach on Romans 10:9. which has the addition of Jehovah instead of Lord. I finally had enough! I had to leave. I figured I would at least tract the cars in the parking lot, but when a nice JW handed me a schedule, I knew God had more planned.

I walked back out to the parking lot with my heart pounding I knew I had to do more then tract the cars. Because I knew that they wouldn't read them anyway. then it hit me, I have to preach!!!!! Oh how my heart began to pound!! I had NEVER done that before. I made every excuse in my head not to. I called Braz hoping he would talk me out of it. Nope!! He had nothing but encouragement! I called Shawn, same thing! Not only did I get encouragement from them, as I prayed, the Lord gave me a peace beyond peace and a confidence that could have won a war.

So I pull my truck up where about 15 JW's were walking out of the lot, I climbed into the back, took a deep breath, and began one of my most prolific sermonettes ever. It was 65% Law, 10% apologetics and 25% Grace. It was a beast of a sermon and a grand total of 1 minute. Oh boy, I had no idea that a 1 minute street sermon would feel like 1 hour and take the energy of a 2 hour sermon!

But God wasn't done yet he saved the best for later. part 2 tomorrow

So Easy A Four Year Old Can Do It.

If you get stomach cramps, sweaty palms, and knocking knees at the thought of handing gospel tracts to a stranger. I want to tell you that you are not alone. All "tracters," at some point, are nervous when passing out tracts. The fear of rejection seems to be our guiding factor rather than the fear of people entering into death without a Saviour.

I'm here to tell you that it is normal to have fear, but by the power of the Holy Spirit we can gain the courage to overcome it. Not once and for all but for each time the fear arises. That's what courage is isn't it? Being afraid of something but doing it anyway? If it were not scary then it would just be a normal thing like putting on socks and shoes. It doesn't take bravery or courage to do that.

Today I was taught a valuable lesson in over coming my fears by my 4 year old. While at the park with my wife and kids, my 4 year old asked if he could hand out some tracts. At first I didn't want to because I was afraid that he might get rejected his first time. But after bugging me about it for awhile I gave in and handed him some tracts.

He said show me how its done Daddy so I took a deep breathe and stuck my hand out to the first person I passed. "Here Im passing these out did you get one?" To my horror he refused me right in front of my son! So I looked him in the eye and said softly "Please take it I'm trying to teach my son something." Thankfully he took it.

After that my wife said it wasn't I good idea to let my son hand any out so I took them back. He, like most 4 year olds whined about it so I made him a deal. "Here's three, but you can only hand them to kids."

My son happily took them and marched toward a group of 10-12 year olds. But before he got there he stopped and looked back at  me and said, "Daddy I'm scared." Not wanting to push him in anyway I said, "don't worry buddy lets just go". He looked at me smiled and said, "its O.K. I'm not scared anymore" then marched up the playground steps heading again for the older boys. When he got just a few feet away from them I watched as he hid for a moment behind a divider on the playground. Then stepped out with the boldness of a warrior, stuck out his hand and said, "Here, It's a gospel tract, be sure and read the back."

The kids took it and thought it was great. I am so proud of my boy. It encourages me to know that my lifestyle is such that my son thinks handing out gospel tracts with me is cool!

Gay U.S. Bishop Heckled in the U.K.

Openly gay bishop Gene Robinson was forced to stop in the middle of a sermon because a man in the crowd yelled "Heretic! Repent!" I wish the rest of the congregation would have shouted along with him.
Watch video here.

Thank you Trish for making this news available to us.

Our Last Night at The Loop

Listen to the audio Podcast in the player at the bottom of this post.
Last night, at our newest fishing hole The Loop, we had a great evening. Braz(L) and I(R) were finally able to hook up and do some evangelizing. As usual, we start our nights at The Loop with prayer and fellowship at my favorite BBQ spot Shane's Rib Shack.

After we got done eating we hit the strip. We were very limited on time so we decided to count out 40 tracts (Twenty each) to pass out and hoped to have at least one conversation. Since Braz hasn't been with us on the last few outings he was fired up and was handing out tracts like a madman.

We had great success with the new Million Dollar Bills and only had one refusal. A young man who yelled out  "I don't need one! My moms a pastor!" We would have loved to address this, but he was already a few feet away. So a Fired up Braz yells back, "You wont deny Him on judgment day!" After he said that he looked at me and said something like "That probably wasn't the best thing to yell."

As we continued walking, we ran into a group of teens that Braz had given tracts to earlier and they asked, "Do you have anymore? The cops on the other side of the mall want one." We gave them more tracts and proceeded to interview them. We asked how many commandments can you name? And they got a few right. Then we asked how many beers can you name? And again they got a few right. I used this to spring into the law which of course they all failed.

Just about the time I got to grace, a Security Officer butts in and asks, "Are you the guys handing these fake bills? You cant do that on this property." We agreed not to hand them out anymore and continued our conversation and by God's grace we were able to squeeze in God's grace. After we walked away the Security Guard informed us that we would have to leave the property. We thanked him for doing his job and graciously left the premises.

It was a great night for us. We were obedient to the Lord and handed out around 30 tracts before we were asked to leave. It was kind of gratifying being able to handle the security guard in a mature and polite way. It shows that God has grown me so much. In my past I probably would have left in the back of  a Squad Car.

It is sad that I will no longer be able to sew into the lives of those teens anymore. I pray that God  sends someone else in other areas of their life to bring them the good news of Jesus Christ.

One of the teens mentions a video called A Letter From Hell. Here is a link to see it for yourself. Caution: it is a troubling video and should alarm you into sharing your faith.

Paul washer: I am not ashamed of the true gospel

As usual, Paul Washer delivers another sermon that should at some level convict almost all who preach the gospel. With quotes like,
"We prop up a gospel with carnal devises of men. We remove the scandal, in the name of love!? As though we have greater wisdom then God, to tweak his gospel here and there so it might be more palatable to men." and "Everything about Gods salvation contradicts absolutely everything men believe about how salvation should be won and what form it should take."
We sometime have the habit to listen to a sermon and think, "Oh yeah, that's like so and so. And that's like this or that church." But instead of doing that, as we often do, look at yourself and see if you are who he is talking about.

Rashard Lewis Gets a Milllion!

My friend Shawn called to inform me today that Orlando Magic basket ball player, Rashard Lewis was going to be at the grand opening of Circuit City in town. Circuit City is located in our fishing hole an outdoor mall called The Loop. We figured a professional NBA player in our small town would draw a crowd. And with a crowd brings about a great opportunity to hand out gospel tracts to the masses.

When we arrived there was only a handful of people who came out for the opening. We saw Rashard Lewis pre-signing some basket balls. I seized the opportunity, stepped over the velvet rope, and stuck my hand out to shake his. He looked confused, but was polite, so I followed my handshake with, "here's another mill to add to your collection" and handed him a Million Dollar Bill gospel tract. He smiled and proceeded to autograph it. Two other tall men, who were probably his friends, asked if it was real. I said "Oh yea, its got a real message on it," and handed them each one a bill. After Rashard Lewis handed me the signed bill back, I made sure to hand him another.

As we walked away I could see all three men reading the backs of their new million dollar bill.

What an awsome God I serve!  Pray for Lewis and his friends.

Gay man sues Bible publishers

A homosexual man who has a blog on Sen. Barack Obama's campaign website is suing two major Christian publishers for violating his constitutional rights and causing emotional pain, because the Bible versions they publish refer to homosexuality as a sin. more...

This is a sign of the times. I cant believe the ridiculousness of such a case. Next thing you know some Senator will sue God! Wait...that has already happened.

"Do you visit Christian web sites or receive daily devotional emails? Ever want to look up a scripture fast? InstaVerse™ by WORDsearch will let you instantly see the actual Bible text for scripture references like John 3:16 — just point your mouse at it, and the text pops up in your preferred translation! The best part is that InstaVerse with the KJV Bible is FREE!"

I use this tool myself and it is great when reading, blogs, emails, or websites. I can always check the verse the writer is referencing to better help me understand what I am reading and to make sure its being used properly.

Here it is in action on my blog. I just hovered over Acts and it instantly pops up a window with the scripture in it. In this example I used the KJV.

My Wife Has Fun With Tracts

My wife went out for her "Moms night out" and had some fun with the Million dollar bill tracts. Now anybody that knows my wife knows how excited she gets when she tells a story and this time was no different. She told me this story as soon as she walked in the door and I told her to write it out so I could post it here.
                                  Starbucks Fun

My friend Emily(L) and I(R) were going to do our special “mom’s night out” thing, where we go to Starbucks while our husbands stay home with the kids so we can fellowship and relax over some coffee. On the way there, I grabbed some perfume out of my glove and saw some gospel tracts I had in there. I thought dang! I need to stock up on some million dollar bills but remembered I had a few in my purse just in case.

So we meet at Starbucks and as soon as we walk in, I notice a Watchtower pamphlet in clear view on an open table and thought to myself “naw, I can’t be havin’ that” so I grabbed it, crumpled it up and replaced it with the stack of millions I had. We sit down with our coffee and as were catching up,  I’m just watching people walk by and thinking “wow, nobody has even taken a double take.” Finally I quit paying attention and all of a sudden I hear with excitement, “what’s that, who put that there? Oh it’s a million dollars, I’m a millionaire! Did you get one of these?” It was a Starbucks employee who found them then handed them out to all the other employees and a customer.
I am just watching in awe, I have never seen anyone so excited. They were all flipping it around reading the million dollar question, they put one in the tip jar, and one of the employees even commented on how they should decoupage it on the outside of the tip jar. It was amazing! I asked Emily “are you seeing this” she was like “yeah, you just replaced some false teaching with the truth and they’re loving it”.
We took it back to grade school when we high-fived each other and said "another job well done : )"

What a Christian should look like

Im posting this for some friends of mine that I spoke with yesterday.

Yall knew me before I was saved and I talk with you guys all the time so you know my heart, but fellas I really hope you examine yourselves to be sure that your in the faith.

Listen to what Tripp Lee says a believer should look like. Do you match up?  If I was to ask your closest friend what the center of your life is would they say Christ? Or would they say cars, speakers, money?

This is just a short video and does not cover much so please look through the Self Examination section of my Blog read, listen, watch then pray.

Hit me up if you have any questions.

Interview with Holy Hip Hop artist trip lee: What a christian should like.

Thats My boy!

Now you may remember my 4 year old son from a resent post as an evangelist. But what you didn't know is he is also a Berean.
Acts 17:11 Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.
He examines the scriptures to the point of exhaustion! Then falls asleep! Im really not sure why he has it in his mouth though?

Your probably wondering why I let my son read The Message translation of the Bible. Well, if you read acts 17:11 closely it says "...for they received the message with great eagerness...." See the Bereans used the Message translation!! Ha Ha!! How about that for some bad hermeneutics.

Actually I bought this for him before I really knew better. Other then the translation it is a great devotional Bible for me and my son to read together. It has great illustrations, prayers, activities, and a little grasshopper guy that hides in all the pictures and my son love to find him. His favorite book to read is Exodus. He says " I wanna read "Exeedus" cuz I love all of God's miracles."

I praise God for my son and I pray fervently for his salvation.

4th of july part 2

This weekend was the 4th of July and we went out witnessing as I described in my last post. When I go out witnessing I have good and bad days. Some day's I'm able to talk to whoever and some days I'm afraid to hand out a tract. Usually I console myself with the sovereignty of God and that God will send someone else to reach the people I miss and/or am afraid to talk to.

This usually allows me to feel O.K. while I'm still out, but its the next day that has its way with me. I find that those I purposely missed or avoided- faces are burned into my mind! The mean looking soldier, the thugs with dreads and chains, the kid with spikes in his face, and the man with the tattoos all are vivid memories in my mind.

Oh how I always wish I could do it over again. The regret, the guilt. I watched and allowed people to wonder past me into the eternal abyss of hell. What a wretched man I am! I allowed my fear to prevent someone from receiving the gospel.

When I woke up this morning I felt like Paul Washer when he said, "I woke up this morning a little bit sad because last night I did not live for Christ as I wanted to, I did not reflect his glory as I hoped. But i was not in despair because I know that He who began a good work in me will finish it"

4th of July adventure

Yesterday was the 4th of July and the mark of a great day in the history of America. It was this very day in 1776 we adopted the Declaration of Independence, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. It is a day celebrated by fireworks, picnics, and city sponsored events. Which brings forth a great opportunity to hand out tracts and witness to people.

This year Shawn(L) and I(R) decided to hit up the City of Kissimmee's annual 4th of July Celebration. Which included concerts, fun, games, fireworks and food. Since our city's population growth over the last years, the local events are packed with people making a great spot to hand out tracts. Our weapon of choice was the "Freedom?" tract by This tract was easy to pass out because of it's patriotic and collectible look. We did not have one refusal out of the 100 we passed out.(Im buying more next year)

We had a great time! But with us being the only two evangelists in attendance we were very overwhelmed by the amount of people in our small town. But that was quickly thrown to the wind as we started hand out tracts to as many people as we passed. We had a few conversations with people but it seems all the people I spoke to were Christians.

One of which was a nice Man who was an evangelist himself at one point in time. He was also into prison ministry for many years. I gave him my contact info so I could get involved in this type of ministry. Upon further conversation I found out he had a liver disease and was terminally ill. So be in prayer for him and his family pictured above.

The young man pictured above was a surprise. I walked over to him and handed him a tract and after a little conversation I asked him were he thought he would go when he died. He replied heaven, as most do, only when I asked the next question. "Why?"  He replied with, "Because Jesus died for my sins and i'm covered by His blood." I was taken back by his response so I fired back with, "if you stand before God on judgment day and He asks, Why should he let you into his heaven, what will you say?" His response was, "Because I trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of my sins." I was excited to hear a young man with a decent grasp on Soteriology. I chatted with him for a minute then gave him a free Holy Hip Hop mix CD.

All in all it was a great time we handed out all of our freedom tracts, some million dollar bills, pink and blue optical illusions, and put tracts in the windshield wipers of cars. But I think the greatest thing of the night was to see Shawn actually engaging people with conversation. He brought at least 5 people through the law and the gospel. It is magical seeing a new Christian with such zeal and a sense of urgency about giving people the gospel. He is an encouragement to me and other evangelist I know.

There is one thing that has been bothering me today, but more on that in part 2.

Todd Bentley Craziness: Does it get any crazier then this?

This a video of "Revival" preacher Todd Bentley Kicking a man with stage 4 colon cancer in his stomach. I don't think Ive seen a more disturbing clip coming from the Charismatic Healing Sect of Christianity. Would I be jumping the gun by saying this is not only a false prophet but a really obvious one? How is it that people are duped by this garbage? I sure hope that in the ages to come this isn't how they remember Christianity in the 2000's

Paul Washer: The Depravity of Man

I saw this on a blog post by Lane Chaplin and wanted to re post it on my blog. It contains a clip that I have seen in the past by Paul Washer explaining the total depravity of man. And as if Paul's illustration isn't enough, it is followed by a second video of a recent news clip showing people in an emergency room just sitting and watching for over an hour as a lady falls over and dies. The second video is also a good illustration for Christians that don't do evangelism. They are just sitting and watching as unsaved people are perishing all around them.

Charles H. Spurgeon: Avoid a sugar coated gospel

Read this quote from Charles Haddon Spurgeon I read on a blog this morning.

"Avoid a sugared gospel as you would shun sugar of lead. Seek the gospel
which rips up and tears and cuts and wounds and hacks and even kills, for that
is the gospel that makes alive again. And when you have found it, give good heed
to it. Let it enter into your inmost being. As the rain soaks into the ground,
so pray the Lord to let his gospel soak into your soul."
-Charles Haddon Spurgeon

I was pondering this quote through out the day yesterday. I thought about what it means to "sugar coat" the Gospel and was examining my presentation to be sure I wasn't. I began reflecting on the first couple times I shared the gospel with friends (Before I knew how). I would start with "God Loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life" A very true statement in the context of a believer, but not a great place to start. I remember thinking "wow this is easy and im getting a great response!"

This was before I learned the biblical way to present the gospel using the Law to expose sin and then reveal the grace of God through Jesus. Once I started doing it this way it suddenly became VERY HARD! People didn't like hearing about there sin. I have been told many things such as "You are being mean and intolerant." As well as while im presenting the Law you can almost cut the tention with a knife. Sometimes im afraid I might get punched. Its almost as if the demons are churning in the eyes of the sinner.

I also get flack from apposers of Law and grace evangelism. They say, "We are not under the law So why would you use it in evangelism? You should just tell people that God loves them!" I am saddened when I hear this because I almost want to question their salvation (Im not being legelistic, I just wonder if they are worshiping an Idol). But I always try to fix their understanding by saying "Your right were not under the law, once we are in Christ, but those not in Christ are under the law and will be judged by it also. And WHEN found guilty they will be sentenced to eternal torment in hell! So why not tell them that if thats the truth?" Are they convinced? Not usually, though I do get a head nod and signs of agreement, but usally they go right back to freindship evangelism. my views on frindship evangelism.

Dont get me wrong I dont think that my style of Law and Grace evangelism, by doing the good person test,  is the only way. I do however say if you are going to witness to someone Biblically and effectively you must show the sinner they are themselves a sinner. Though there is over wheleming biblical and historical evidence to use the law I wonder why would you not?

So after thinking through it, though I am no Paul Washer, I do believe I am not sugar coating the Gospel but am being as faithful to scripture as I know how. I pray that you to will join us in the fight for biblical evangelism and the use of the law by learning how to do it yourself. You can read around my blog to find great recources on futher edjucating yourself on the subject.

I read this in a great article by Dan Phillips on the Pyromaniacs blog and it reminded me of something I was complaining about recently.
"This is... church? So here comes this brother into the assembly of the saints, hoping for a rest from the battles of the week, a moment to regroup, sing, pray, get the Word, fellowship. He looks up to the choir, or to his left or his right — and in a tick of the clock, he's facing the same struggle he faced every time he turned on his TV, opened a magazine, or went down a city street. He's seeing things that make it far too easy for him not to keep his mind focused where it needs to be focused.

And he's not in a nightclub, he's not at a singles' bar, he's not at the beach. He's in church."

A few weeks ago I go to a "Christian" concert at a "church" and as I am walking up to the front to pay admission (I wont go there) I notice that the woman handling the admission table was very beautiful, very well endowed and to my horror was dressed very provocative. I remember struggling not to look.

As I was going into the show I was thinking to myself "Man I didn't expect to have to struggle with that at a church." Once I entered I was pretty much over it. That is until the same woman shows up inside and is dancing right in front of me. I was so distracted I had to move. This was really weighing heavy on my mind for a few days. I mean I would understand if an unsaved or new Christian rolled up dressed like that, but a leader? Come on!!

Ladies, do us and yourselves a favor. COVER UP. This is one of the hardest struggles for most men. I cant count the times if sat at a table with my brothers in Christ and a scantly dressed girl walks by. It is so uncomfortable!

Paul Washer: Shocking Message

This is one of the first sermons I ever heard from Paul Washer. This thing caused me to really look within and examine my Christianity. It is :59min long but oh so worth every second.

Paul's 3 Gospel "I AM's"

Paul said in Romans 1:14-16
"I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish. So I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.
The Righteous Shall Live by Faith. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek."
I am under obligation
Here Paul says that he (and we) is (are) under obligation to preach to all people groups. The rich and proper, the poor and low class, the ignorant and intellectual, and every thing in between.

I am eager
Paul shows us his excitement to go out and preach the Gospel and we to should share in his excitement because it the only thing of value in this world. The Gospel is the only thing that has the power of God unto salvation and is the only way we will make an eternal and earthly impact.

I am not ashamed
Paul understands that by him preaching the gospel people will get saved. How could someone be ashamed of the best news in all of eternity. Would a doctor be ashamed if he had a cure for a disease? NO! Or as Paul would say "By no means!"How much more important is the cure for the problem of sin then a cure for any earthly ailment? The proof of Paul's unashamed-ness (if thats a word) is found in 2 cor 11:23-28 were he describes, his great labors, imprisonments ect.
23Are they servants of Christ? I am a better one—I am talking like a madman—with far greater labors, far more imprisonments, with countless beatings, and often near death. 24Five times I received at the hands of the Jews the forty lashes less one. 25Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I was adrift at sea; 26on frequent journeys, in danger from rivers, danger from robbers, danger from my own people, danger from Gentiles, danger in the city, danger in the wilderness, danger at sea, danger from false brothers; 27 in toil and hardship, through many a sleepless night, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. 28And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for all the churches.
To quote John piper, "You will be shamed for the gospel but you do not have to be a-shamed of the Gospel" So get out there like Paul and unashamedly share this Gospel with all the world!!
