Bring The Noiz Ministries is a dynamic ministry thats sole mission is to to exalt Christ and Bring His gospel to the streets.
Why the name Bring The Noiz?
The name originated after founder Robert Houghton first got saved. He knew that some how, some way, he wanted to tell people about the good news of Jesus Christ. At the time the only thing he could do was use his current gifts as a Hip Hop artist to make Christ centered music. As a result He adopted the stage name NOIZ.
NOIZ has a two fold meaning. The first is found in the spelling. It is Zion in reverse. Zion in the New Testament is a synonym for The Church and Peter refers to Christ as the Cornerstone of Zion. “See I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts Him will never be put to shame” 1 peter 2:6
The second is a play on words. Noise is sometimes used as a slang term for a subject mater that someone doesnt want to hear. For example if I told someone on the streets that I was a better basket ball player they would respond with “Man, you need to kill that noise.” For us the gospel gets the same response, sometimes in different terms, but non the less is considered “noise.” and we want to bring the “noise” to the streets.
What We Do?
Our main ministry is street evangelism. We go into the streets where the people are to pass out gospel tracts and open-air preach. We do this in bar and club districts, at sporting events, or any other place we can find people. You can watch the video “Bring The Noiz on a Sunday afternoon."
Though evangelism is our primary ministry God has also used us in other ways such as, regular preaching at homeless shelters, chaplain at local jail, and rescuing babies at the abortion clinic.
