Why Does God Allow Bad Things To Happen?

The next time someone asks this question, and they will, answer it like Voddie Baucham does. I bet they'll either repent and Trust or they wont ask another question!

  1. Great post!
    It is a great question.
I personally and strongly believe that God allows bad things to happen to help us in life and build up our faith as well as our relationship with Him.

Over the last 2 years I have had countless bad things happen in my life. 2 years ago I was diagnosed with GBS a disease that attacks your nerves and paralizes you from the neck down. I had to go through tough physical therapy. No insurance. I almost died 6 times as well. I constant migraines and severe nerve pain as well. My family is poor. Just recently I was in the ICU for double pnuemonia. As I was in the hospital they found that I was bleeding internally and found that I have bleeding ulcers. I also have barretts esophogus which is a disease that can turn into cancer. I have to get it check every 6 months to make sure I don't have cancer. Yes, I have experience many painful situations over the last few years of my life and my faith ahs never been stronger.
    God is so good.
He is my rock and protection.
He is my provider and delieverer.
He is my joy in life.
Thank you again for this wonderful post.
I enjoyed this and all of your other posts as well. Keep up the fantastic job.

  2. Preacherman,

Im glad you took the time out to write all that stuff. I am sad that all that has happened to you, but I am even more joyous that God has strengthened your faith through it all. What a great God we serve!

It was greatly needed that I read your comment as I am going through my own trials at the moment. Though my trial pale in comparision to yours I needed the reminder that God is Soveriegn and that, "He is my rock and protection. He is my provider and delieverer. He is my joy in life."

Thank you for your comment I will be praying for you and, if its OK with you, I will be using your story as an illustration of faith sin a sermon someday.

    God Bless You Brother
